MAD for MAD

Thinking I was looking through a kaleidoscope, I was mesmerized by the stained glass at New York's MAD.  The vibrant colors and bold, graphic pattern reminded me of classic 1970s design and the era of the "flower child".  Many designers of today are still inspired by the seventies and have taken inspiration from the fun, retro patterns of that time.  Tory Burch is a great example of a designer who is inspired by the "hippie" look.  You can often find her using bold, graphic floral patterns and of course using her signature energetic orange.  For more information on MAD, Museum of Arts and Design, please visit their website:  http://www.madmuseum.org
